Delete Your Account

You can request permanent deletion of your Uforia account and all associated data at any time. Below are the two ways to do it, and what to expect afterwards.

From inside the app

If you still have access to Uforia on your device, this is the fastest path:

1. Open Uforia and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
3. Confirm.

Your profile and content disappear from Uforia immediately. You then have a 30-day recovery window — if you sign back in within that period, your account is restored. After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and irreversible.

By email

If you've uninstalled the app, can't sign in, or otherwise can't reach the in-app flow, write to us:

• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• Include: the email address or username you registered with, so we can locate the right account.

We acknowledge requests within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity.

Cancel any active subscription first

Uforia subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google — not by us — so deleting your Uforia account does not automatically cancel them. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the platform first:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Uforia → Cancel
• Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Uforia → Cancel

What we delete

When deletion becomes permanent, we erase:

• Your profile, username, bio, photos, and avatar
• Posts, moments, comments, and reactions
• Chat messages, voice messages, and shared media
• Dating profile, prompts, matches, and personality data
• Face embeddings
• Engagement data — likes, saves, views, and profile-view records
• Push notification tokens
• All stored files across every storage bucket associated with your account
• Your authentication record — your email becomes available for new registration

What we retain — and for how long

A small amount of data is retained for legal and abuse-prevention reasons. None of it is processed for any other purpose.

• Encrypted backups: may persist for up to 7 days on a rolling overwrite cycle, then are automatically and irreversibly overwritten.
• Minimal compliance log: your registered email address, the IP address recorded at signup, and the selfie frames captured during identity verification, retained for 12 months from your deletion request and then automatically purged. This log does not prevent you from re-registering with the same email.
• Banned accounts only: if your account was suspended for violating our Terms of Service (including child safety violations), your account data is retained in full for 3 years from the date of the ban. We send a notification email 48 hours before erasure. This retention supports ban evasion prevention (via face embedding comparison), defense of legal claims, and preservation of evidence for law enforcement cooperation.
